MSAT Senior Scientist
Summary:

As part of Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) you will be responsible for process troubleshooting, process improvements and second generation process development of Pfizer's late stage development and commercial biopharmaceuticals and vaccines. Through small scale process development and transfer to commercial stages, you will partner with manufacturing specialists for API and provide support for technology transfer to Pfizer manufacturing sites and third party facilities. Your innovative mindset will help us develop economical, efficient and safe active drug materials. It is your innovative scientific temperament that will help in making Pfizer ready to achieve new milestones and help patients across the globe.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for process troubleshooting, process improvements and second generation process development of Pfizer's late stage development and commercial biopharmaceuticals and vaccines
- Partner with manufacturing specialists for API and provide support for technology transfer to Pfizer manufacturing sites and third party facilities
- Be recognized as a technical expert and a scientific contributor
- Be an active team member whose decisions impact the project
- Use your scientific judgment to adapt standard methods and techniques by applying prior work experience
- Forecasting and planning resource requirements for your project team
- Undertake mentoring activities to guide team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in bioprocessing
- Knowledge and experience of mammalian cell culture, including fed-batch and perfusion bioreactor operations
- Demonstrated experience in interpretation of analytical data to drive experimental plans and ability to utilize electronic tools to document information
- Technical knowledge and skills in aseptic bioreactor operation and associated analytical methods
- Knowledge of biologics achieved through industrial or academic experience in research and development, technical operations, manufacturing, etc.
- Strong initiative and good problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Rate/Hours:
- $90 - $94 per hour
- This is a fully onsite role in Andover, MA
- Monday - Friday; First Shift

The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, location and/or being pursued, and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
