Part-Time Animal Care Technician
Summary:
Join our team as an Animal Care Technician, where you will play a crucial role in providing basic husbandry and handling of animals while ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide basic husbandry (sanitation, feeding, enrichment) and handling of animals in compliance with local regulatory requirements
- Maintain and perform cage washing, housekeeping and facility support areas as assigned
- Perform husbandry and cage cleaning and complete regulated documentation for common laboratory animal species
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- A minimum of 0-3 years of experience in a related role working with animals
- Job-related experience working with animals is preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow strict protocols and procedures
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
Rate/Hours:
- $19.00 per hour
- Part-Time; 20 hours per week
- This is a seasonal position to provide mainly weekend support; initial training week would include weekdays then move to a Saturday-Sunday-Monday schedule as a combination of 4, 6, or 8 hour days

In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
