What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st shift Material Handler position at PFL Services Inc?
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately handling materials, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
-Expected to take initiative and be proactive
-Deliver components to production and between machines as needed using FIFO as best as possible.
-Keep traceability paperwork up to date where it is required.
-Able to read and understand shop orders, production schedules and follow written or verbal instructions.
-Meet and exceed Syntec's expectations (safety, quality, productivity, Identify and separate nonconforming parts (defective).
-Report issues to maintenance as needed and make supervisor aware. Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
-Housekeeping (5S) throughout and end of shift. Must be punctual, Other duties as required.
PPE Requirements:
- Safety glasses and hearing protection is required.
-Safety shoes are required and are to be purchased by the employee.
Language Skills
-Basic understanding of English language,
-Bilingual is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. repetitively. Must be able to stand the entire shift.
-Position requires bending, stooping, stretching and reaching.
Education and/or Experience Level
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills.
- Self-starter and well organized.
- Payrate: $13.50
- High Point NC,
Work Location: High Point, NC
Shift: 1st shift 5:45am - 2:30pm Monday through Friday
