What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Material Handler position at PFL Services Inc?
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and accurate handling of materials within the warehouse environment. MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS OF FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE.
Duties
- Moving stock around the warehouse with a forklift
- Taking product off the line to the next place, for inventory checks
- Verify accuracy of all inventories handler through the use of scales or manual box/bag count.
- Enter inventory data into IFS systems correctly and accurately
- Ability to consistently and correctly complete online paperwork as it relates to material handling documentation
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
- Maintain an organized warehouse space by properly storing materials and keeping work areas clean.
- Collaborate with supervisor
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is required
- MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS OF FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE
- Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in handling materials.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to safety practices within the warehouse is essential.
