Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 2nd Shift Toolman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing tools and equipment, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently during the evening shift. This position is in Asheboro, NC
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various tools and equipment used in production.
- Maintain tool and part inventory
- Inspect tools periodically to ensure they are clean and functional
- Keep accurate records of tool usage, adjustments, repairs, replacements, and returns.
- Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools are accounted for and in good working condition.
- Collaborate with production staff to identify tool-related issues affecting workflow.
- Document maintenance activities and report any significant repairs needed to management.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with industry regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Toolman or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of tools.
- Familiarity with safety standards and practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also being an effective team player.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work 2nd shift hours, including weekends if necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
