Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 2nd Shift Toolman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently during the evening shift. This position is in Asheboro, NC
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance on various tools and equipment used in production.
- Prepping carts with tooling for the extruder operator
- Keep tool room organized
- Put up heater bands
- Cleaning dyes that go at the end of the extruder
- Cleaning sizers/fitters for the machine
- Maintain tool and part inventory
- Inspect tools periodically to ensure they are clean and functional
- Keep accurate records of tool usage, adjustments, repairs, replacements, and returns.
- Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools are accounted for and in good working condition.
- Collaborate with production staff to identify tool-related issues affecting workflow.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Toolman or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Heavy lifting up to 70 lbs
- Familiarity with safety standards and practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Willingness to work 2nd shift hours, including weekends if necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
Work location: Asheboro, NC
Shift: 2nd shift 3pm to 11pm
