Job Overview
PFL Services is looking for the ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints accurately. This role involves fabricating and assembling various conveyor belts. Various sizes and material. This candidate will have a strong background within math, they will be working with different sizes, length, width, formulas, and fractions.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and materials needed for fabrication.
- Must be able to read a tape measure correctly.
- Have knowledge of simple mechanical functions and ability to operate fabrication tool, such as lacers, slitters, belt presses, and various hand tools.
- Have knowledge and experience with a carpenter square to accurately cut a belt with square ends.
- Operate press brake machines and other fabrication equipment to shape and form metal components.
- Utilize welding techniques, including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), to join metal parts securely.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install components according to project requirements.
- Perform pipe threading and machining tasks as necessary for specific project.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes.
- Requirements
Proven experience in fabrication or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various tools and machinery effectively.
- Must be able to do math equations and fractions.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading is essential for interpreting design specifications accurately.
- Experience with soldering, pipe threading, machining, and assembly processes is a plus.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work are crucial for success in this role.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements
