Job Overview:
PFL Services is looking for a candidate that has at least 2 years of plastic extrusion experience.
Responsibilities:
- Strictly adheres to company and plant safety policies and procedures.
- Completes all annual training as required.
- Maintain and enforce a safe, clean work environment.
- Select machine dies.
- Determine setup procedures.
- Reel extruded products into rolls or reels.
- Specify lengths and weights of rolls or reels.
- Replace worn dies.
- Set controls to regulate vacuum, air pressure, sizing rings and temperature.
- Synchronize speed of extrusion.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Locate defects on extruded parts.
- Check for conformance to specifications.
- Record product measurements.
- Adjust controls as necessary.
- Install, connect, test and adjust equipment.
- String up lines.
- Clean tools and tooling.
- Operate extruders.
Physical Demands:
- Moving and lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
- Walking, standing on concrete 8 hrs./day.
Work Environment:
- Works in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. Climate may be cold or hot.
- Exposed to dust, odors, noise, fumes associated with the extrusion manufacturing process.
