Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and accurate handling of materials within the warehouse environment. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to operate heavy equipment, and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace. This position is in Asheboro, NC
Duties
- Moving stock around the Shipping department with a forklift
- Helping with labels
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
- Maintain an organized warehouse space by properly storing materials and keeping work areas clean.
- Collaborate with the shipping lead.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in handling materials.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to safety practices within the warehouse is essential.
