Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver that is fluent in Vietnamese to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. The Driver will operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans, while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining a clean driving record.
Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks, vans, or other commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Must be fluent in Vietnamese and English
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all trips.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist with moving items as needed, including heavy lifting when required.
- Utilize manual transmission vehicles as necessary for specific deliveries.
- Operate forklifts when needed for loading and unloading tasks.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving or as a van driver is preferred.
- Must be able to communicate fluently in Vietnamese and English
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic regulations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the workday.
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Familiarity with courier services or logistics operations is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining delivery records.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
