What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehousemen position at PFL Services Inc?
Overview:
PFL Services is looking for an experience Warehousemen. The ideal candidate will have previous shipping experience along with some warehouse management experience. Will be responsible for organizing, sorting and transferring goods from one location to another. Candidate will be monitoring company packages from the start to finish, ensuring proper packing techniques and shipping practices.
Job Description:
- Maintain compliance with Company and plant safety policies and procedures
- Completes all annual trainings as required
- Prepares UPS and FedEx shipments using the appropriate computer system.
- Verifies all incoming shipments and notifies the Warehouse Manager of all discrepancy's
- Assists in the warehouse with wrapping, labeling and strapping
- Creates picking requirement reports, deliver orders, and create shipping documents to ensure on time deliveries
- Scan and forward completed documents to accounting or other departments for invoicing and/or follow through processes
- Support warehouse personnel by checking locations in D365 and/or other systems.
- Contact freight companies and coordinate pickups, schedule deliveries and dock appointments
- Prepares shipping documentation for national and international shipments
- Preform required daily and/or weekly inventory cycle counts for finished goods, raw material and pallets or crates
- Completes daily Pre Shift forklift inspections and reports any issues immediately to Warehouse Manager
- Maintain forklift certification
- Assists in various assignments and/ other duties as assigned by the management team.
Requirements:
- Experience using a forklift strongly preferred
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
- Ability to perform well in a fast paced environment, which can be subject to numerous schedule and priority changes
- Above average communication skills
- Moving and lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
Shift: Monday through Friday 7am to 3pm
