PFME is a company in Charlotte, NC, centered around the sales and service of air compressors and regenerative air dryers.
Job Overview: This position will play a critical role in coordinating all aspects of purchasing, receiving, inventory, and project coordination. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with vendors and the internal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations from product ordering to job execution, handling shipping and receiving, and managing inventory levels for both immediate and long-term project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Obtain and review vendor quotes, ensuring accurate pricing and timely delivery.
· Accurately create, send, and track purchase orders; follow up on purchase orders to ensure fulfillment and address any delays or issues.
· Manage product maintenance, ensuring all product details are up to date in the system.
· Coordinate shipping arrangements with vendors; ensure proper documentation is in place for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
· Perform periodic inventory counts and work with the internal team to ensure adequate stock levels. Additionally, label parts and ensure proper organization within the inventory management system.
· Upon receiving customer purchase orders, pull available stock for the project and identify any missing parts. Order missing parts or components, ensuring timely delivery to meet project deadlines.
· Manage project statuses regularly in the weekly project report and provide updates during the Team’s weekly meeting.
· Prepare and handle parts and packages for shipping, including boxing, labeling, and generating shipping labels through carriers.
· Manage kit assembly process: kit parts inventory, stock levels of prepared kits, research for parts improvement, packaging kits.
Qualifications:
· Experience in purchasing, inventory management, or project tracking tools.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
· Ability to track and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Strong communication skills for vendor interaction and internal team collaboration.
· Basic knowledge of shipping procedures and familiarity with UPS or other shipping platforms.
· Ability to learn new processes quickly and adapt to changing work requirements.
· Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude, ensuring a smooth work environment.
· Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds.
· This position will require both office and basic warehouse floor work, including handling products and managing inventory.
Preferred Qualifications:
· QuickBooks experience.
· Background in the compressor or air dryer industry.
· Mechanically inclined.
