Responsible for operating a machine in a safe, competent, efficient, and productive manner.

Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.

Maintains quality standards for the product.
- Must become proficient in operating the Mainline and the Slitter;

Keeps the machine and the surrounding area clean.

Follow instructions of the Team Lead

Advance through the pay-for-skills program
- 12 months to complete training/qualifications

Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion all required training and assessments
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate orally and written
- Ability to work in a team orientated environment
- Previous manufacturing/distribution center/industrial experience preferred
- Proven ability for applied learning required
- Prior computer experience preferred
Work Environment:
- Noisy environment requiring hearing protection; manufacturing environment requiring safety shoes and safety glasses. Other PPE required based upon specific tasks. Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
- Physical Requirements:
- Walk/stand 100% of time during a 12-hour shift.
- Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting throughout shift.
- Occasional climbing and reaching into machines to fix jams.
- Frequent lifting and overhead reaching during shift.
- Frequent pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift, including materials requiring up to 75lbs of force to maneuver.
- Frequent lifting or carrying up to 50lbs.
- Constant use of hands and occasional use of foot control.
- Constant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift.
- Operation of cranes, hoists, hand trucks and roll manipulators throughout shift.
- Daily sweeping and organizing floor and work area.
- Occasional climbing of steps.
- Balance required for some tasks.
