What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler Dayshift (7am-7pm) $20.25hr position at PFNonwovens LLC?
Purpose and role of job :
Responsible for calculating accurate tallies of finished goods and raw materials and supplying it to production when it is needed. Utilizes leadership skills as needed.
Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities :
- Performs all tasks of a Material Handler II.
- Complete Training of Material Handler II & Demonstrate Qualifications to Back-up Traffic & Inventory Specialist Roles
- Maintains good housekeeping of the warehouse area.
- Observe all safety rules and use proper safety equipment at all times
- Completes necessary paperwork accurately.
- Operates the Radio Frequency Gun to conduct inventory control movements, barcode scanning, and physical inventories.
- Examines inventory vacancies, causes and whenever possible take appropriate corrective action.
- Troubleshoots problems and communicates with the inventory specialist.
- Drives efficiencies through proper yard management and traffic control.
- Serves as a contact with costumer service for warehouse needs.
- Verifies open orders.
- Coordinates FiFo.
- Coordinates with quality department.
- Responsible for required paperwork and BoL.
- Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
