What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Superintendent - Nightshift / Salary position at PFNonwovens, LLC?
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
• Promote and drive safety initiatives for all warehouse operations.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Perform shift changeover meetings, ensure proper workload and work is being completed before changeover and after.
• Coaches team-members as needed on safety & production.
• Assists managers/supervisor with adherence to company policies and procedures and assists with annual employee reviews.
• Assists HR members with disciplinary actions, including written warnings and terminations.
• Ensure proper Silos are being filled w/correct resin for continuous operations.
• Ensure appropriate staffing through proper supervision and communication.
• Implement daily IL verifications.
• Ensure scrap processes are monitored and maintained by implementing Best Practices, including bulk waste reporting.
• Establish and train team members on operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, keeping the warehouse inventory current, baling operations, and to closely monitor all internal trailer moves.
• Perform training on all equipment for new hires/during your scheduled shift.
• Mobile Equipment management including attachments - training, coordinated maintenance, safe operation
• Ensure housekeeping is up to standard and always follows 6S Audit Standards at both 69 & 101 facilities.
• Follow necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/ guidelines.
• Works with department managers to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, customer service, production planning, quality assurance and purchasing.
• 6S establishment and audits
• Ensure compliance with Quality Control Procedures, work instructions.
• Performs internal and external warehouse audits to ensure proper inventory controls are in place and regulatory compliance is maintained.
• Directs all Finished Goods Inventories, Raw Materials inventories, salvage, and disposition of damaged or rework material
• Develop and drive special projects as assigned.
• Responsible for the debagging unit and process.
• Responsible for safe operation of AGV (Automatic Guided Vehicle) using software/vision for vehicles.
• Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
Education and experience requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred
• Five plus years’ experience in a Materials/Logistics Leadership role
• Strong preference for experience in leading a logistics organization from reactive to proactive culture
• Advanced oral and written communication skills.
• Must have excellent computer skills as demonstrated by ability to compile and present information and data utilizing Microsoft Office and warehouse systems
• Ability to effectively train team members on expectations, procedures, policies, mobile equipment
• Ability to be a change agent, leading staff by example
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Advanced knowledge in MS Word & Excel, and ERP software – Preferably JD Edwards or similar ERP systems.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, use time efficiently and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Work Environment
• Noisy environment requiring hearing protection; manufacturing environment requiring safety shoes and safety glasses.
• Other PPE required based upon specific tasks. Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
Physical Requirements:
• Walk/stand 100% of time during shift.
• Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting throughout shift.
• Occasional climbing and reaching including overhead
• Occasional pushing and pulling with arms and legs
• Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50lbs.
• Occasional climbing of steps.
• Balance required for some tasks
PFN has 2-2-3 schedule - meaning 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on. Reversing on the next week, every other weekend 3 days off.

- Dayshift 9 am-9 pm
Nightshift 9 pm-9 am
