Description
Purpose and role of job: Performs all duties related to the Warehouser Handler II position. In addition to performing the duties of Warehouser II, this operator would utilize their leadership skills as needed.
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities
- Follows necessary GMP, FDA and ISO regulations and guidelines
- Responsible for supervising receipts of finished goods and outbound shipments.
- Inspect all equipment used daily and report defects to Management
- Directs team members' tasks to maintain efficient warehouse workflow
- Maintains good housekeeping of the warehouse area
- Supports production lines with all requests
- Completes necessary paperwork accurately
- Operates the radio frequency equipment to conduct inventory control movements, barcode scanning, and physical inventories
- Properly trains and coaches as required
- Performs quality checks as required: Verify to ensure the raw material requisitions are pulled accurately and/or finished goods are pulled accurately and being loaded on the appropriate trailer
- Examine inventory variances, causes and whenever possible take appropriate corrective action
- Troubleshoot problems and communicates with the inventory specialist
- Assists managers with employee reviews
- Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so
- Responsible for achieving assigned KPIs and CI functions
- Drives efficiencies through proper yard management and traffic control
- Essential need to be certified to train the trainer on warehouse equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Fundamental knowledge of product codes
- Fundamental computer knowledge or willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to communicate orally and written
- Prior material handling experience required
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, email etiquette and WMS
Physical Requirements
- Walk/stand 50% of the time during a 12-hour shift.
- Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting throughout shift.
- Frequent pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift, including materials requiring up to 50lbs of force to maneuver.
- Frequent lifting or carrying up to 50lbs.
- Constant use of hands and occasional use of foot control.
- Constant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift.
- Operation of cranes, hoists, hand trucks and roll manipulators throughout shift.
- Daily sweeping and organizing floor and work area.
- Occasional climbing of steps.
- Balance required for some tasks.
