Department Overview
The Sourcing organization is the functional lead for the procurement of materials and services at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. The department collaborates with internal clients and suppliers managing $5 billion of annual company spend to develop mutually beneficial total cost solutions for goods and services. The department provides the following services to internal clients: procurement of goods and services, strategic sourcing and cost savings, contract management, supplier relationship management, supplier diversity planning, execution and outreach, compliance management, ongoing procurement field support and management of the procure to pay cycle.
Position Summary
The Manager Procurement Analytics provides strategic direction and leadership to develop and manage procurement programs, initiatives, reporting and analytics. This individual will manage a team of Sourcing Analysts tasked with data analysis, cost modeling, market analysis, RFP analysis (budget and baseline determination), forecasting, and general reporting in support of strategic business decision making. Additionally, they will participate in business process improvement efforts and other strategic initiatives.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $128,000
Bay Area Maximum: $218,000
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and based on business needs.
Job Responsibilities Establishes and maintains effective partnerships with Procurement Leadership aimed at identifying and understanding the needs of the organization to develop continuous improvement efforts and strategic initiative. Provides strategic leadership and guidance to manage strategic programs. Manages sourcing analytics functional section to provide Sourcing organization with financial analysis, sourcing/RFP data analysis, cost savings analysis and market/should cost intelligence. Validates cost savings proposed by Procurement organization through detailed analysis and reports across organization. Provides coaching and feedback as necessary. Enhances Procurement Analytics process & Procurement data through various reporting tools Manages relationship and serves as liaison between procurement, finance and other functional areas to establish and facilitate a strategic, valued added relationship relative to procurement cost efficiencies and customer procurement plans Assesses internal and external best practices and research to ensure state-of- art analytics methodology, processes and tools
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required (one year of experience for every one year of college) 8 years of total Supply Chain or finance related industry experience
Desired: MBA or graduate degree 2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience Project Management experience, Utility industry experience Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills Ability to lead cross-functional teams Demonstrated leadership and management skills Ability to identify and resolve problems and implementation barriers Strong analytics skills
