JOB SUMMARY
Performs x-rays per clinician's orders and processes films. May perform C-arm procedures as per technician training. Maintains and documents per regulation. Assists with therapies and other office or clerical duties as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
Certification: Basic Radiologic Technician Certification required
Registration: Current registration required

Completes duties according to the requirements of each approved procedure needing radiological support.
- Assembles necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduled procedure according to clinician order.
- Tests and monitors equipment for proper working condition.
- Follows manufacturer's specifications and OSHA guidelines when performing x-ray procedures.
- Utilizes appropriate shielding prior to performing x-ray.
Follows principles of aseptic technique in performing duties during the procedure.
Performs required maintenance of instruments, supplies, and equipment by adhering to cleaning, care, storage, and calibration procedures as directed.
- Handles equipment and instruments correctly to provide availability and safety.
- Maintains adequate supplies to provide immediate availability during the procedure.
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Responds in a timely manner to meet the needs of the patient and the physician.
- Documents and completes required forms according to organization's policy.
- Communicates information about the patient's status to others responsible for patient care.
Accurately comprehends orders and directions.
Abides by the organization's HIPAA policies and procedures
Complies with organization's Infection Control policies and procedures
