What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Supervisor position at PGA National Resort (Salamander Collection)?
Summary: The Pool Supervisor will be providing instruction and directing the daily operation of the pool area. Maintaining a safe environment for guests and employees.
Essential Job Functions: Include the following. Other job duties may be assigned.
- Plans, organizes and supervises pool attendants
- Responds to and resolves problems, inquiries and complaints relating to pool facilities.
- Administers first-aid; enforces and monitors safe work practices
- Assists with the implementation, evaluation and interpretation of department policies, projects and procedures.
- Provides customer service by responding to information requests, conducting research, providing solutions to problems, and correcting errors.
- Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to security department.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day/night shifts, weekends and holidays
Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent
Language Skills: Excellent service skills including etiquette and ability to work with the public. Knowledge of communications skills, organization skills, and ability to deal with a diverse clientele.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift, push, carry, pull, or move up to 50 pounds. Repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift.
Work Environment: Work is generally performed indoors or outdoors. Will be exposed to heat.
