What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Area Supervisor position at PGA National Resort (Salamander Collection)?
Summary: Maintains cleanliness of all public areas (Resort and Spa), meeting rooms and pools.
Essential Job Function: Include the following. Other job duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for maintaining and supervising the cleanliness of the Resort and Spa. Areas include all Public Areas (Resort and Spa) and its Bathrooms, Meeting Rooms and Ballrooms (Carpets, walls and chandeliers), Spa pools decks and Bathrooms, Spa (Treatment rooms, public areas and Bathrooms), and Employee areas and offices (garbage pick-up and vacuum).
- Above areas will be kept free of debris, dust, cobwebs and trash.
- During the hours of 6:00 Am – 11:00 Pm, the Housekeeping/Public Area staff will be responsible for it.
- Night Cleaners will take over the cleaning duties from 11:00 Pm to 6:00 Am.
- Follow and supervise carpet cleaning schedule.
- Report to Engineering all repairs needed and follow up until completion.
- Be the Liaison between Night Cleaners Company, Pressure washer and other contractors for the Hotel.
- Work closely with Catering and Convention Services to ensure appropriate coverage during function hours.
- Check periodically with outlet Managers for special needs and cleaning schedules.
- Schedule Main Pool deck pressure cleaning with honey Bell Manager.
- Check periodically with offices for their cleaning needs.
- Create cleaning schedules for all Public areas and exterior cleaning.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day/night shifts, weekends and holidays

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk. Talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 Lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close-distance-color vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: Constant walking from indoors and outdoors.
