ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Promote a “Go First” service culture.
  • Build positive relationships with members, guests, staff, and vendor partners to provide an enriching professional environment for each.
  • Work in partnership with club Directors and Managers to develop a creative, innovative, diverse, and engaging calendar of social, recreational, and golf events designed to enrich the lives of club members.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and providing leadership and management for department staff.
  • Actively participate in club operations to observe staff performance and develop opportunities to enhance the member experience.
  • Maintain Standards of Operation for the department, ensuring they are kept current and used for training and daily operations.
  • Prepare annual operating budget.
  • Ensure compliance to all Club policies, programs and approved practices by all department personnel.
  • Responsible for the effective use, and that of their staff, of all club financial systems and tools to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all staff hours and wages.
  • Work closely with club directors to ensure intraclub marketing and communications standards are adhered to.
  • Ensure that the physical plant and assets are maintained to club quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Golf & Club Operations to ensure all the rules and regulations of the club are adhered to by all members and their guests.
  • Collaborate with Resort marketing teams to ensure a seamless effort to provide exceptional marketing to members and the public.
  • Ensure all interclub marketing efforts are timely and of high quality.
  • Develop creative services to present a quality package of concierge services for member use.

DIMENSIONS

  • WORK EXPERIENCE : 5 years of progressive leadership roles in Membership Services, Sales or Marketing. Experience in Golf Resort or Private Club preferred.
  • EDUCATION : A bachelor’s degree in hospitality, sales, marketing or business administration is preferred.
  • PERFORMANCE STANDARDS : Service leadership style, strong intrapersonal and communication skills, financial acumen, computer literacy and a working knowledge in Excel and Word programs
  • WORKING CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT : Professional indoor office / club environment.
  • The Membership Services Director is the key steward for the Membership Services department that includes but not limited to providing leadership to a team of 5-8 personnel. He / she will be responsible for operating results for Membership Sales, Interclub Marketing, Special Events, Concierge Services and Reception functions of the Club. The Membership Services Director will ensure that club quality and service standards are met, and that creative services and programming are consistently delivered, designed to enrich the lives of our members, guests and staff.
