Overall Function Of This Position

The e-Commerce Category Manager at PGA TOUR Superstore is responsible for the strategy and support of day-to-day digital merchandising operations for key product categories of our online store. This individual will assist in the management of product assortments, provide input on marketing support and be directly involved in the oversight of specific global product categories for the company’s online business. Daily duties will also consist of content management tasks, including management and maintenance of all imagery and other content associated with pgatoursuperstore.com. This person will have a passion for retail, branding, and the consumer experience, as well as the ability to think creatively, strategically and drive sales. This position will be part of PGA TOUR Superstore’s e-Commerce team and presents a great opportunity to support the development and growth of the omni-channel business.

The successful e-Commerce Category Manager for PGA TOUR Superstore will put a personal stamp on every product he or she touches by owning key product launches, assisting in developing the strategy for how products come to life online, and expanding upon product descriptions with both industry knowledge and a sense of creative flair.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required (Communications, Marketing/Business, New Media, or Telecommunications or related field).
  • Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years of proven experience in digital asset management environment required. PhotoShop experience a plus.
  • e-Commerce/internet knowledge or experience required.
  • Ability to manage and support digital merchandising needs to achieve overall business goals and meet and exceed vendor and customer expectations.
  • Preferable knowledge of and passion for golf and tennis.
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Data entry experience required.

Skills

  • Must be an independent thinker and who takes initiative.
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (graphic/video), presentation and communication skills
  • Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and visual formats.
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing and completing requests in an efficient manner.
  • Analytical: Possess strong conceptual and creative thinking.
  • Computer: Advanced computer skills with the working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Strong knowledge of html for all digital design needs. Overall strong technical ability and understanding.

Job Responsibilities

Merchandising Category Management

  • Participate in business development, strategy and planning
  • Support in building online merchandising plans, working with manufacturers to optimize assortments and associated digital content, supporting the merchandising organization to test a variety of digital content.
  • Devise strategies to drive online traffic, as well as brick and mortar traffic
  • Manage online brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness
  • Improve the usability, design, content and conversion of the website
  • Assist with analytics and reporting, measure and report KPI/Analytics and assess against goals
  • Assist with online marketing efforts
  • Review new technologies and help keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital merchandising and marketing.

Specific Product Inventory Management Duties

  • Enter product descriptions and other product attributes
  • Augment and supplement product descriptions with industry expertise and knowledge
  • Manage and maintain all products and product information on pgatoursuperstore.com

Specific Content Management Duties

  • Assign and manage product imagery for pgatoursuperstore.com
  • Provide day-to-day operational needs surrounding digital asset management
  • Manage and maintain graphics, hero images, and other content on all webpages for pgatoursuperstore.com
  • Collaborate with team to create opportunities for improved user experience
  • Collaborate with agencies and vendor partners to ensure execution of campaigns

Physical Requirements: Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting.

Other: Must be able to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
