Role Description
This is an Analyst position within the Portfolio Management team of PPC Direct Lending. We invest in middle-market companies primarily in the US and Western Europe in buyout transactions, refinancings, recapitalizations, growth investments, and more. The PM team is responsible for overseeing a $5bn AUM portfolio of private credit loans and serves as the eyes and ears of our portfolio. You will monitor issuer performance, analyze portfolio performance, and provide insights directly to our investment committee that will impact investment decisions.
You will be working with a tight-knit team and interact with investment professionals across many different groups and offices with a direct line to the Head of Portfolio and Underwriting. We are a fast-growing team that will allow you to get involved in different parts of the business and special projects including data analysis, fundraising, and securitization (CLO). This role will teach you the full anatomy of how investments and funds operate in one of the fastest growing asset classes.

About PPC Direct Lending
PPC Direct Lending is the direct lending strategy within PGIM Private Capital responsible for originating, underwriting, and managing a portfolio of privately placed leveraged loans for middle market issuers ($10-100 million of EBITDA). These loans are originated from the PPC regional office network as well as the dedicated central PPC Direct Lending team via private equity and family office sponsors, advisors / intermediaries, other direct lending partners, and directly from issuers. PPC has been originating leveraged loans for 20 years on behalf of Prudential’s balance sheet. PPC is currently investing out of its second third-party fund, PGIM Senior Loan Opportunities II (PSLO II) with a target of $3.0bn in commitments, as well as various other vehicles including a BDC and CLO.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, with a strong record of academic achievement
- Excellent analytical, writing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in portfolio management and investing
- A flexible “startup” mindset

- 1-3 years direct lending and/or loan portfolio management experience
- Prior work experience in portfolio management, accounting, and/or investment operations
