PGM of Texas, LLC is the nation’s leader in catalytic converter recycling with multiple facilities spread across eight states: from California to Florida, with customers in all fifty states and customers on an international scale. Our company Headquarters is based out of San Marcos, Texas, right off the Interstate-35 Corridor in between Austin and San Antonio, Texas.
PGM of Texas is looking for a Freight Logistics Coordinator to perform a variety of duties. Primary duties consist of managing the freight logistics for the organization and most of our customer base. This is completed by coordinating Truck Load (TL), Less Than Truckload (LTL), Import/Export shipments, and maintaining shipping and receiving timelines. Minor duties will involve daily shipping and receiving tasks and maintaining freight logs using Microsoft Office.
In this position, the candidate will:
· Schedule and book freight using online load boards, creating relationships with direct carriers and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) organizations.
· Provide exceptional internal and external customer service to support all departments and branches within the organization.
· Create shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and export paperwork.
· Work closely with branch managers and customers to meet their logistics needs.
· Assist management with weekly freight Reporting.
· Maintain organization freight logs.
· Need to be flexible and dynamic to industry changes.
· Continuously look for areas that improve practices and cost reduction.
The Ideal Candidate:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
· General knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
· Self-motivated and self-directed individual with excellent time management skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Logistics experience preferred.
· Exceptional customer service skills.
