What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspector - 2nd Shift position at PGS Worldwide?
PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a skilled Inspector - 2nd Shift to support ongoing projects for an Aerospace leader in Oldsmar, FL. This is an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.
Job Description:
Uses predetermined methods, inspection operations and prescribed specifications to visually inspect solder and conformal coating of circuit card assemblies IAW IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001 requirements. Role will incorporate instructions, drawings or inspection instructions and checklists, various measuring devices (dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, etc) to visually inspect circuit card assemblies to manufacturing and industry specifications including IPC and related reference documents and standards.
Hours are 3:30 PM-2:00 AM Mon-Thurs with OT on the weekends
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- US Citizenship
- Requires prior inspection experience
Candidates must take and pass a medical exam - Must have min 2 years prior experience inspecting solder connections on surface mount and plated thru hole components, as well as coating of PWB's in accordance with IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001 requirements
- Detail-oriented, and proficient at interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, reference documents and work instructions.
- Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Personal Computers
- Interfaces effectively and diplomatically with all levels of manufacturing when addressing quality defects.
