What are the responsibilities and job description for the Level 3 Glass Cutter position at PGT Custom Windows and Doors?
A Level 3 Glass Cutter at our Prescott Valley, AZ location is available at MILGARD Windows and Doors (MITER Brands). In this position, you will be responsible for cutting glass preparation for build in the Insulated Glass Department. You will possess one year of production experience or a related field. In addition, the most important part of your responsibilities is to create a safe work environment for yourself and the organization. The starting hourly compensation is $21.00. Glass Cutting hours are 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM Monday through Friday.
• Basic computer skills
• Understanding of the Plexi Process
• Familiar with glass lines, pull groups
• People skills
• Organizational skills
• The employee is regularly required to walk, push/pull carts, lift insulated glass unit
Essential functions include:
• Deliver any rushes left from the previous shift
• Print previous day totals in QC Track
• Print data from completed units (4x throughout shift)
• Validate rush data for completed units (4x throughout shift)
• Check with all line leads for possible missing units or batches (several times a day)
• Check all line frames on the wall (several times a day)
• Deliver rushes hourly
• Communicates with Glass supervisors and line leads
