We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our team at PGT Innovations. The successful candidate will have expertise in designing, building, and testing tools, molds, and dies for use in our manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop custom tools, molds, and dies using advanced CAD software and manual drafting techniques
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and optimize processes
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure tools meet specifications and perform as intended
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as mechanical engineering or manufacturing technology
- 8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices
