About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our team at PGT Innovations. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for designing, laying out, and constructing tools, molds, and dies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a wide range of tools, molds, and dies to exact specifications
- Visualize completed products to ensure ease of operation and maintenance in a manufacturing setting
- Perform development work and difficult tool room machine operations
- Compute dimensions, plan layout, and determine assembly method and sequence of operations
- Construct, alter, and repair tools, molds, and dies to very close tolerances
Requirements:
- 10-15 years of experience in machining or model making, with increasingly complex assignments including design of tools, dies, or molds
- Technical school training in machining and tooling
- Basic English language skills
- Knowledge of trigonometry and geometry
