What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Virtualization Engineer - VMware & Automation - TS/SCI clearance position at PGTEK?
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Virtualization Engineer with expertise in VMware and automation technologies to support our customer in San Diego. MUST have an active TS/SCI clearance. The ideal candidate must possess deep knowledge of Aria Automation, Aria Operations, and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and be able to navigate potential integration challenges with third-party products like NetBox.
Salary: 135-155K
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and manage Aria Automation, Aria Operations, Aria Operations for Logs, and Aria Operations for Networks to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop and optimize dashboard solutions using Aria Operations.
- Provide automation solutions for secure host environments utilizing Aria Automation for Secure Hosts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve compatibility issues between Aria Operations and NetBox.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand and address their automation and network operation needs.
- Ensure compliance with security and operational policies while supporting infrastructure enhancements.
- Collaborate with a team to deliver effective solutions within the project timeline.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP Read-On (Mandatory).
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification (Required).
- Security certification (Required).
- VMware Certified Professional – VCF Administrator (VCP-VCF) certification (Preferred).
- Proven experience in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), Aria Automation, and Aria Operations.
- Experience developing and optimizing Aria Operations dashboards.
- Familiarity with Aria Operations for Logs and Aria Operations for Networks.
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to third-party integrations, such as NetBox.
- The customer typically operates Monday through Thursday.
- The position is on-site in San Diego, CA.
