About the Role:
Reporting to the Manager of Technology and taking work direction from the Delivery Manager and Senior Quality resources, the Quality Analyst is responsible for developing test plans, completing and maintaining standard test documentation, executing test cases, validation of creative content and assets, and participating in development and review meetings. As a Quality Assurance professional, he/she may also be tasked to estimate hours and timelines and may work on more than one team. The ideal candidate has experience in manual testing of GUIs/web sites, APIs/web services, ETL/file processing and mobile web sites/applications.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Estimate QA hours and project timelines (PI Planning)
- Work closely with Product Owners to understand and interpret requirements and translate those requirements into testing documentation
- Working closely with Delivery Management and Senior Quality resources to scope QA efforts and managing QA timelines
- User acceptance testing support including demonstrations of new functionality
- Production support as needed, including troubleshooting production issues
- Retrieving, reviewing and analyzing data
- Identifying barriers and root causes of data issues and performance gaps
- Write, revise and verify quality standards and test procedures
- Collect and produce written documentation based on testing results
- Recommend and help implement process improvements to project teams
- Write and execute detailed test cases to identify potential application defects
- Assist in execution of integration or end-to-end testing with client systems or programs
- Write documentation to describe program evaluation, testing and correction
- Analyzing data (target audience) requirements to ensure members have been accurately identified and exclusions applied as needed
- Rendering emails and web pages through testing tools to ensure creative accuracy across multiple Web, Mobile and email platforms
- Communication: Effective and detailed communication of testing status and defect details to the Project Team and Client contacts (as needed)
- Miscellaneous troubleshooting to help identify barriers and root causes or issues found during the testing process
- Testing of GUI Pages/Web Sites and Mobile Applications
- Executing tests for APIs/Web Services
- Testing of ETL/Batch/File Processes
Location:
This role is based out of our office in the Designer’s Guild building in the heart of Minneapolis' North Loop neighborhood. We embrace a hybrid model with three in-office days per week to ensure a mix of collaboration and flexibility to support our employees' success.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, certification in Computer Science or related field, or applicable job experience
- 3 years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance professional
- Exposure to working in an Agile environment (SAFe Certification a plus)
- Proficient in managing defects and change requests using JIRA or a similar tool
- Experience with Test Automation a plus
- Understanding of Performance Testing a plus
- Extensive hands-on experience with GUI/web site testing, emails and email content
- Solid understanding of API/Web Service functionality and experience using Postman (or similar tool)
- Experience writing and executing SQL scripts and queries in SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL, including SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE statements
- Use of Browser Developer Tools or other troubleshooting or logging tools for testing
- Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal, both formal and informal) and analytical skills
- Ability to manage concurrent projects, activities, and tasks, at times under time constraints and tight deadlines
- Must be a detail-oriented self-starter and a strong team player
- Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment

Pay Range:
The pay range for this position is estimated to be: $72,000 - $95,000 per year
There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
