Job Summary
As an Interpreter, you will facilitate communication between individuals who speak different languages, ensuring accurate and clear understanding in various settings.
Duties
- Translate spoken communication from one language to another
- Interpret written documents from one language to another
- Assist in bridging linguistic and cultural gaps
- Provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretation during meetings, conferences, or legal proceedings
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality
- Utilize specialized dictionaries and translation tools as needed
Experience
- Proficiency in at least two languages, including the ability to translate both verbal and written communication accurately
- Knowledge of linguistic nuances and cultural context
- Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus
- Previous experience in interpretation or translation is beneficial
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey messages clearly
