We are looking for a high-energy, self-motivated, and customer-focused individual to join our Retail Management team as a Showroom Assistant Manager.
Job Summary:
The Showroom Assistant Manager will support the day-to-day operations of our retail showroom, ensuring smooth and efficient operations while maintaining high standards of product presentation, customer service, and staff management. This position requires a hands-on leader with a focus on operations, financial management, inventory control, and the overall customer experience. The Showroom Assistant Manager will work closely with the Showroom Manager and other team members to deliver an exceptional shopping environment.
Responsibilities
- Assistant showroom manager with all aspects of showroom operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functionality.
- Attend and participate in all required trainings and meetings; including annual conferences which may require travel and overnight stays lasting up to a week
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment at all times.
- Ensure the store is consistently stocked and presentable.
- Manage the scheduling of employees to meet staffing needs.
- Interview, hire, and train employees in all areas of store operations (inventory, stocking, cash management, front-end duties, etc.).
- Ensure staff are aware of company policies and any infractions are documented and reported.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Utilize the POS system efficiently (both front and back end), ensuring accurate sales processing and inventory management.
- Account for all monies at the close of business each day, transmitting information to corporate.
- Reconcile weekly banking deposits, showroom expenses, and petty cash.
- Ensure accurate payroll reconciliation and transmit information to corporate.
- Track store expenses to assist in the budget process.
- Ensure all retail agreements (generators, trailers/containers) are inspected for safety and efficiency.
- Maintain a sufficient inventory to facilitate store operations
- Keep accurate inventory at all times through employee training, weekly cycle counts and semi-annual physical inventory
- Work with the inventory department at corporate to identify any inventory discrepancies
- Oversee all aspects of store security
- Train hired security officers/policeman on corporate security policies to ensure safety during peak season
- Immediately identify any potential security threats to the premises (burned out lights, damaged fencing, suspicious activity)
- Review DVR and camera settings to ensure proper overage retention of footage
- Check any exterior, temporary, or off-site storage for proper locking mechanisms, alarm contacts, or any other signs of intrusion
- Check print media proofs for proper directional and local information
- Check all billboards monthly for accuracy and obstructions
- Notify proper corporate contact of any local advertising or goodwill opportunities
- Keep track of local advertising and goodwill donations for assistance in the budget process
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualification
- Must be available to work seasonal hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Required to use personal vehicle for bank runs and other errands outside of the showroom
- Media interviews (preferred)
- Experience in retail management or a similar leadership role (preferred)
