Phantom Fireworks is the nation's largest consumer fireworks retailer, lighting up backyards and celebrations coast to coast. We're seeking a Website Content Manager to join our dynamic team and help drive our online presence. The Website Content Manager will be responsible for managing the content on our websites and other digital platforms. This role is critical in maintaining and enhancing the user experience, optimizing web performance, and ensuring consistent, engaging messaging across all online channels. The website content manger would work closely with various departments and report directly to the Head of Digital.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of Phantom Fireworks' websites, ensuring functionality, consistency, and optimal performance.
- Content Creation: Develop and update engaging, SEO-friendly content, including product descriptions, landing pages, blog posts, and promotional material.
- Content Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to create content strategies aligned with business goals and seasonal campaigns.
- SEO: Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices to on-page content, meta descriptions, headers, and image optimization. Monitor SEO performance and make data-driven recommendations to enhance search ranking and reach
- Maintenance & Updates: Ensure websites are current by uploading new content, images, banners, and other assets in a timely manner.
- Cross-Platform Support: Provide content for email campaigns, social media, and other digital outlets to maintain a cohesive brand message.
- Analytics & Optimization: Monitor website traffic and performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Compliance: Ensure all content adheres to company branding and legal guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications
- Juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
- Analyze web traffic and user behavior data
- Analyze all aspects of the website and ensure they are functioning correctly and are visually appealing
- Develop and implement effective SEO plans
- Develop engaging content and visually appealing designs that attract and retain website visitors
- Adapt to new technologies, trends, and changing organizational preferences
- Proficiency in Content management, or managing websites, SEO
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS)
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, Google Analytics, and conversion optimization
- Design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills to address technical issues and improve website performance
- Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications for program area and other applications, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a small team
