Currently seeking a Clinical Pharmacist in Long Term Care to work in Allegheny County, PA. Approximately 26-36 hours per month, with the possibility of additional remote hours throughout the month. Must have PA Board of Pharmacy license.

Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Clinical Pharmacist consultant :
- Travel to long term healthcare facilities in your region
- Evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of medication regimens. Areas of focus will include antimicrobial therapy, pain management, use of psychoactive medications.
- Collaborate with physicians and other health care providers in managing medication therapy to ensure patient needs are met.
- Apply specialized knowledge of the scientific and clinical use of medications; including medication action, dosing, adverse effects, and drug interactions.
- Active role in the development and implementation of protocols, antimicrobial stewardship initiatives and appropriate drug utilization.
