Job Description
We are seeking a PRN Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating physician medication orders, maintaining patient databases, and ensuring the safe procurement and use of medications. Additionally, the pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare teams to provide clinical and technical support as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness and make recommendations as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient/resident databases
- Ensure laboratory tests are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with healthcare teams
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide clinical and technical support
- Document all communication and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and policy
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred) and at least one year of experience in long-term care. Licenses and certifications required by government regulations and business needs are also essential.
