Job Summary:
The Entry-Level Financial Analyst will support the finance team by conducting financial analysis, preparing reports, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes. This role is ideal for a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual looking to develop their skills in financial modeling, data analysis, and business strategy within the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Assist in analyzing financial statements, trends, and key performance indicators to support decision-making.
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial results with budgeted figures.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by collecting data and preparing financial models.
- Work with different departments to gather necessary financial information and ensure accurate projections.
Data Management & Insights:
- Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets to track key metrics.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth based on data insights.
Compliance & Internal Controls:
- Ensure financial practices align with industry regulations and company policies.
- Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing requested financial information.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with teams across finance, accounting, and operations to support business initiatives.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making within the company.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related role (internships preferred).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Knowledge of financial reporting and basic accounting principles.
- Ability to work with large datasets and generate meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with financial software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar) is a plus.
