Job Description: We’re seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our team in Bullock County Hospital in Union Springs, AL on an as needed basis (PRN). The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a team environment, detail-oriented, strong communication skills, and problem-solving skills. The starting pay for this position is $55.00 per hour, with potential adjustments based on experience and qualifications. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Fulfills all legal and regulatory requirements, including evaluation, selection, procurement and distribution of drugs, counseling and professional consultation
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as policies of the hospital and PharmD on Demand
- Interprets physician medication orders
- Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals and related products for patient care by performing related duties
- Utilizes pharmaceutical equipment to include automated dispensing machines, Laminar Flow Hoods and compounding equipment.
- Represents the hospital and PharmD on Demand in a positive and professional manner
- Maintains customer confidentiality at all times
- Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices
- Exercises sound judgment in decision-making
- Interacts effectively with diverse individuals
- Maintains professionalism in all situations
- Uses time effectively and efficiently
Position Requirements:
- Current pharmacist licensure in the applicable state(s)
Schedule Details:
- 1-2 days per week of weekday availability to fill in for our full-time staff on an as-needed basis
- This person will also be required to take call on weekdays and weekends as needed
