We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fire System Owner to join our team in Kankakee, IL. The Fire System Owner will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of all fire protection systems within our client's pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for all fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and fire suppression systems.
- Develop and maintain fire protection system maintenance schedules and ensure all systems are regularly inspected and tested.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential fire hazards and develop strategies for prevention and mitigation.
- Collaborate with facility management and engineering teams to ensure fire protection systems meet all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate with external vendors for the installation, maintenance, and repairs of fire protection systems.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure all employees are prepared in case of a fire.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in fire protection systems to continuously improve the safety and effectiveness of our client's facility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection systems, preferably in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, OSHA regulations, and other relevant fire safety guidelines.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing emergency response plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or equivalent certification is preferred.
