Why This Role?
Own the strategy for a full disease area—Parkinson’s, MS, ALS, or other key neurodegenerative disorders—shaping how new therapies are developed and brought to market.
Be the connector between R&D and commercialization, influencing both sides to ensure a clear and successful path to value.
Sit at decision-making tables , engaging with senior leadership, research teams, and business development to drive key investment and portfolio decisions.
Lead in a matrix environment , working cross-functionally to guide clinical development, pipeline evolution, and external partnerships.
Join a strong Neuroscience community , collaborating with a network of peers (currently 5 DALs in Neuroscience) to contribute to high-impact disease area strategies.
Make a real impact by shaping the future of neuroscience drug development and driving decisions that matter at the highest level.
What We’re Looking For
- PhD, MD, or strong R&D expertise —deep scientific understanding of neuroscience and drug development is a must.
- Proven strategic leadership —experience in medical affairs, business development, R&D consulting, or portfolio strategy is highly valued.
- Commercial fluency —you understand the full drug development lifecycle, from early-stage research to Phase III and beyond.
- A strong influencer and connector —comfortable challenging both R&D and commercial teams while bringing them together.
- Experience in a global pharma / biotech company —ideally with a track record of contributing to business development, pipeline strategy, or commercialization.
- An excellent communicator —able to present with confidence and engage stakeholders across different functions.
- Diversity of thought and experience —we are looking for fresh perspectives, particularly from individuals with diverse professional backgrounds and geographies.
The Challenge & The Opportunity
Finding the right leaders for this role isn’t easy—many people are either too R&D-focused or too commercially driven . We need someone who can truly walk the middle path , speaking both languages fluently and ensuring that early research decisions align with late-stage success.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you’ll work on some of the most pressing challenges in neuroscience. If you’re ready to take on a career-defining leadership position and be at the heart of major decision-making in global drug development, we’d love to hear from you.
