What are the responsibilities and job description for the Workstation / Systems Administrator position at Phase II?
Phase II is actively seeking an innovative and highly-driven individual to join our growing team as a System/Workstation Administrator supporting the Fort Riley TAP office.
Duties include:
- Planning, analysis, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats.
- Analyze and define network requirements.
- Define and maintain network architecture and infrastructure.
- Configure and optimize network servers, hubs, routers, and switches.
- Analyze network workload.
- Monitor network capacity and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve network problems.
- Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating system software.
- Ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services.
- Provide advice and assistance to customers, troubleshoot all problems, and provides support to the customer with minimal disruption to normal business activities.
- First responder and chief point of contact for all submitted IT work orders.
- Reports weekly workload reports and work order status to the contracting officer representative.
- Serves as the Workstation Administrator (WA) for the TAP IT Systems.
- Area of responsibility of the Transition Services includes, but is not limited to, Building 212 Custer Avenue, Ft Riley, KS.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years experience working with DOD computer networks, including servers, hubs, routers and switches.
- Knowledge of the SFL TAP program.
- DOD 8570 IAT level I certification.
- Due to the nature of the work and US Government requirements, US Citizenship is required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
Education: High School diploma required.
