What You Will Be Doing
The Quality Engineer will collaborate with all Operations and Product Developments functions. Develops and executes quality strategies and is charged with facilitating these efforts. Through a respectful, constructive, and energetic style, the Quality Engineer provides leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that the Company has the proper quality controls and procedures in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. Specifically, you will need to:
- Understand needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
- Devise and review specifications for products and processes
- Set requirements for raw material or assembled products for suppliers and monitor their compliance
- Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback
- Audit product development and production procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Inspect final output and compare to requirements
- Assist in developing pass/fail criteria.
- Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
- Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives
- Identify opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures
- Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations
What You Need for this Position
- Proven experience as a quality engineer
- Conscientious and responsible
- A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
- Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
