Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Food Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, enhancing their dining experience. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and wait staff.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
- Assist servers by bussing tables and ensuring that dining areas are clean and organized.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest inquiries effectively.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards during food handling and preparation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to facilitate smooth operations during peak hours.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas for events or special occasions.
- Operate POS systems for order tracking when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor towards guests.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and handling procedures is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
