Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage guest relations effectively. As a Host/Host, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience by efficiently managing reservations and seating arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with an overview of the restaurant's offerings.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using Aloha POS or similar systems to optimize table turnover.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, ensuring that menus and promotional materials are up-to-date.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest needs promptly.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Support the waitstaff by coordinating guest flow and assisting in maintaining positive guest relations throughout their dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in guest services or food service is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive dining experience for guests.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus but not mandatory.
- A passion for hospitality and helping others enjoy their dining experience is essential.
