Now Hiring : Client Care Coordinators - Family Shelters (NYC)

Pay : $32-33 / hr

Are you a compassionate and skilled social worker or mental health professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of families in need? Join our team as a  Client Care Coordinator  at our family shelters in  New York City ! We are looking for dedicated professionals to help support individuals and families in crisis while providing essential care and resources.

Ability to escort clients to appointments via public transportation

Flexibility to work evenings, at least one Saturday a month, and some holidays

Key Responsibilities include :

Complete psychosocial assessments to understand clients' needs

Engage individuals and families in short-term counseling, groups, and workshops

Refer clients to local community resources for long-term services

Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in need

Identify individuals and families requiring more intensive services, including victims of domestic violence, those with mental health concerns, or those with substance abuse issues

Collaborate with teachers and staff to create individual service plans for children in the shelter

Conduct play groups for children to address trauma-related issues

Facilitate workshops and groups to educate and empower families

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Include :

• MSW;   LMSW / LMHC required within the first 90 days of employment (and maintained throughout)
• Experience facilitating groups and developing group curricula
• Proficient in using standardized assessment tools
• Experience with individuals dealing with mental illness and substance abuse, preferably with homeless adults and at-risk populations
• Advanced knowledge in the field of social work / mental health
• Must be available for on-call rotation and required to attend internal / external meetings and trainings

Salary : $32 - $33
