Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with biweekly payroll processing, including earnings, deductions, reporting, and compliance checks.
- Manage tax changes, garnishments, and other payroll adjustments within Workday and ADP Smart Compliance.
- Review timecards for accuracy, ensure timely approvals, and address time-off inquiries.
- Support off-cycle payroll processing, including bonuses and other compensation adjustments.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, including tax and regulatory matters.
- Maintain employee trust by ensuring payroll operations remain confidential and responsive.
- Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to resolve complex payroll issues.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Conduct payroll audits to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Generate biweekly and ad-hoc reports for management and other stakeholders.
- Provide documentation and support during payroll audits.
- Track compensation commitments for new hires.
- Assist in administering equity compensation plans, including ESPP and stock-based awards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Take initiative on additional tasks and projects within the People Operations team while maintaining accuracy in payroll functions.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of five years of payroll experience, supporting multi-state payroll.
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll administration systems, preferably Workday.
- Experience working with payroll vendors to meet deadlines and maintain service quality.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Attention to detail with the ability to work under deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels and maintain discretion with sensitive payroll matters.
- Flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot payroll issues independently.
- A customer-focused approach to payroll support.
- Experience with equity-based compensation is a plus.
Technology Skills:
- Experience with HRIS and payroll administration software, preferably Workday.
- Familiarity with ADP Smart Compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
Salary : $80,000 - $92,000
