We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the company’s receivables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing customer invoices, payments, and collections. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements promptly and accurately.
- Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and follow up with clients for timely resolution.
- Post payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed records of payment activities, invoices, and account statuses.
- Investigate and resolve billing and payment disputes in coordination with other departments.
- Generate and review accounts receivable aging reports to identify trends and areas of concern.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closings related to accounts receivable.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as Sales and Customer Service, to resolve customer inquiries.
- Continuously improve accounts receivable processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounts receivable best practices.
