Our client, a leading cosmetics brand, is actively searching for a detail-oriented and analytical Demand and Capacity Planner to join the team. The role is responsible for forecasting customer demand and ensuring that the supply chain operations are aligned to meet that demand efficiently and cost-effectively. Working closely with Marketing, Operations, and the Finance teams, you will develop accurate forecast models, manage capacity planning, and maintain the Supply Chain Master database to ensure smooth operations across multiple regions and channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Planning
Develop effective and accurate demand forecast models based on business and marketing plans, historical sales data, and new product launches.
Analyze inventory flow and review historical sales trends to anticipate the impact of promotions, discounts, and seasonal demand.
Prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results with Marketing, CM teams and Finance to get consensus.
Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.
Monitor and report on key changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and inventory risks.
Communicate validated forecasts to Marketing, Operations and Finance teams.
Communicate forecast and inventory projections with risk assessments on long term planning.
Support the team with any additional responsibilities as needed.
Capacity Planning
Develop capacity models based on suppliers’ capacity planning, third-party logistic capacity, deadlines, and historic capacity.
Develop quantity and cost strategies to meet proposed demand and report any important capacity risks to the Operation team.
Review and adjust capacity forecasts on a monthly basis within the S&OP process.
Provide updates on product availability for future months to the executive team.
Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet future customer demands.
Supply Chain Master Data Management
Create, update, and maintain all necessary data for demand and capacity planning in Anaplan.
Ensure the accuracy of logistics process data in coordination with Operations teams.
Qualification
Educational Background & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Economics, or related fields is preferred.
- 2 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, forecasting, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with demand planning software/tools (e.g., Kinaxis, Logility, Anaplan)
Technical Skills
- Data Analysis & Forecasting: Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in analyzing sales data, historical trends, and market factors to predict future demand.
- Excel proficiency: Advanced Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other complex formulas.
- Statistical Knowledge: Understanding of statistical methods for forecasting (e.g., moving averages, regression analysis, seasonality).
- BI Tools: Experience using business intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar to generate reports and dashboards.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing in-office and remote responsibilities as needed.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
