Days, Evenings and OvernightsWe are looking for reliable, committed and compassionate staff to care for the developmentally disabled.RequirementsHigh School Diploma / GED / Transcript - must have to be consideredQuantiferonJob descriptionAssists in maintaining an inventory of individual clothing and personal effects on a routine basis in order to ensure that individuals are properly clothed.Assist with any toileting, showering and / or other personal hygiene needs.Report any sign or symptoms of illness or adverse medication reaction to the site supervisor in order to implement an appropriate plan of action.Assists in the resolution of crisis management and reports all incidents, both verbally and in writing to the program supervisor.Ensures that each apartment / room is clean, neat, safe and free of hazardous contains at all times.Ensures that all individuals are attending activities on a daily basis as agreed upon, within a structured treatment program, sheltered work center, training program or competitive employment in the community.Assist individuals in a Day Hab. or Day Center settingEscort individuals on medical appointments as neededEscort individuals to the emergency room (site managers usually make this request to the Staffing Agency or to the DSP, if the DSP is already at the residentWe can offer Full time, Part time and Per DiemPay Rate : $17-$18 an hourResponsibilitiesAssist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.Provide meal preparation and nutritional support tailored to individual dietary needs.Monitor and document patient progress, behaviors, and any changes in condition.Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for clients.Assist with mobility and transportation needs as required.Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote socialization.Provide dementia care and support for individuals experiencing cognitive challenges.Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.SkillsStrong patient observation skills to identify changes in client behavior or health status.Experience in home health or assisted living settings preferred.Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.Familiarity with nursing home protocols is advantageous.Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams.Ability to demonstrate patience and empathy while providing care.Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality is maintained.Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of clients throughout their care journey.If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and possess the required skills, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position as a Direct Support Professional.Resumes to Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
