Position Summary:
A mid-sized technology focused bank is seeking a Risk Assessment Specialist to join their growing compliance team. This individual will play a key role in evaluating financial crime risks, assisting with the enhancement of risk frameworks, and contributing to compliance with regulatory standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct reviews and analyses to support financial crime and sanctions risk assessments.
- Collect and evaluate data to identify trends and assess exposure to regulatory risks.
- Work closely with team leaders to develop actionable reports and insights for senior stakeholders.
- Monitor ongoing risk-related activities, flagging potential issues and suggesting effective mitigation strategies.
- Stay informed on changes in financial crime and sanctions regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, risk management, or business administration.
- 3–5 years of experience in risk assessment, and/or financial crimes compliance is required
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of financial crime and sanctions regulations.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and the ability to quickly learn proprietary systems or applications.
Salary : $110,000 - $145,000
