Description
Our client, a leader in the investment management field, has a career opportunity available for a Senior Corporate Tax Associate in the Corporate Tax Department.
The location is Woodbridge, NJ, on a hybrid schedule.
The Senior Corporate Tax Associate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of federal and state corporate income tax returns, tax provision, state non-income tax and tax analytics for the parent company and its affiliates.
Core responsibilities
Preparation and review of corporate federal and state workpapers, tax returns and tax provisions
Federal and state research to determine tax filing requirements and analyze the impact of changing
legislation
T ax compliance management for multiple legal entities in a time sensitive environment
Tax audit support, including preparing responses to federal & State IDRs and notices
Providing support to the accounting function with respect to tax related entries included within
financial statement reporting
Special projects and state non-income tax preparation.
Qualifications
2 years of hands-on income tax experience in financial organization or public accounting firm
Bachelor's or Master's degree in tax or accounting
CPA or EA preferred but not required
Corporate, and multi-state income tax compliance in the financial industry
Tax provision experience with effective tax rate calculation, deferred tax asset validation and rate
reconciliation
Good analytical, organizational, and written / oral communication skills
E xperience performing tax research and familiarity with tax research tools
Experience managing multiple projects, with a hands-on approach
Detail oriented and strong work ethic with high level of accountability
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of Client ONESOURCE Income Tax a plus
State non-income tax exposure a plus
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
